The workshop will run from 1.00pm on the day, beginning at Sligachan and will go through to sunset. We will travel in two cars and you will be returned to Sligachan at the end of our time together (unless you wish make any other arrangements).
Your professional workshop hosts, Tim Wilcock and Russell Sherwood, two of the leading Skye based photographers, both pride themselves on the style of teaching they adopt, giving 100% attention to you throughout the workshop. Their aim is to ensure you get the most from the day, developing your skills as required and helping you to achieve your individual workshop goals.
The workshop will be conducted in a very informal, relaxed and, most importantly, fun atmosphere. Tim and Russell will work with you to ensure you have the best possible experience, being flexible in their approach to ensure you have a fulfilling and rewarding workshop.
The workshop is suitable for people of all abilities but you must be using either a DSLR or Mirrorless compact camera system. The day is not suited to point and shoot type cameras.
During the day you become familiar with you own camera, it's controls and it's capabilities and will have opportunity to use filters supplied by us (if you don't already have your own). As well as the technical aspects of photography we will also cover the artistic elements, specifically in respect of pre-visualising the image and composition. As the day progresses we will be working towards improving your knowledge and confidence so that you are prepared to capture that end of day sunset image.
So whether you just want to get started with your new equipment, finally get the camera off Auto, understand particular technical aspects that may be bemusing you, or develop your creative eye further then we will cover your individual needs.
